Product Description
The NI VXIpc-486 Model 566 is a fully-integrated, compact computing device. This embedded computer comes packed with a high-performance microprocessor, an in-built storage disk, and an assortment of other on-board facilities, making it a highly versatile and independent computing system. This device boasts a range of communication interfaces that provide it the flexibility to accommodate diverse hardware configurations. The VXIpc-486 Model 500 series includes devices featuring super VGA, which enhances display resolution from a standard 640 x 480 pixels to a sharp 1024 x 768 pixels. Another distinguishing trait of the NI VXIpc-486 Model 566 is its support for multiple Slot 0 configurations. This allows these devices to synchronize and function within multi-chassis setups. The device comes with an inherent diagnostic function that runs several checks upon initiation. If any test fails, the device won't start and a dedicated FAILURE LED alerts the users. More so, it houses other indication LEDs for real-time updates. As an embedded computer, the VXIpc-486 Model 566 has the capacity to accommodate a variety of PC-compatible expansion units. This model features an upgraded version of BIOS, with setup and system parameters stored in a battery-secured CMOS RAM, ensuring your settings are preserved even when the device is disconnected from the chassis. Though the NI VXIpc-486 Model 566 has been declared obsolete by National Instruments, it continues to be available for purchasing and servicing.
