The different configurations presented by the VXIpc-486 Model 500 series cater to diverse needs. The expansion kit facilitates the accommodation of a variety of plug-in boards. Based on ISA (Industry Standard Architecture), the VXIpc-486 Model 500 Embedded Computer delivers an efficient and user-friendly platform for VXIbus systems.With a range of compatible software programs by National Instruments, users can program VXI directly. Furthermore, you can manage numerous externally connected GPIB instruments via NI-488.2 software. The optional super VGA video feature supports high-resolution graphics, ideal for tasks involving complex image viewing or editing in CAD or graphic programs. The device also features an external CLK10 connector, compatible with TTL-level signals.The National Instruments VXIpc-486 Model 500 sustains multiple configuration profiles: A, B, C, D, E, and F, with configuration A as the default setting. The four different Slot 0 settings (A, B, C, and D) are practical for systems using multiple mainframes. The synchronization of multiple mainframes can be achieved by operating various VXIpc-486 Model 500 Embedded Computers in different modes. The front panel LEDs, including a FAIL indicator, signal the device's self-test status.National Instruments has declared the VXIpc-486 Model 500 as Obsolete, but the Embedded Computer remains available for purchase and repairs.
