The PXI Filler Panel is ideal for 4 and 6 slot chassis, and comes in several variants (Part Numbers: 778933-01, 778679-01, 778646-01, and 778700-01). It's primarily used to seal unused slots in a PXI chassis, offering protection against elements like dirt, moisture, and oil that could potentially damage the system. One of the perks of using these panels is the overall improvement in the cooling efficiency of the chassis. Each panel is equipped with two captive mounting screws (one on each side) for easy installation with a standard screwdriver. The 778700-01 variant, often referred to as the PXI EMC Filler Panel Kit, stands out from the rest by including extra gaskets to minimize EMC emissions within the chassis. Noteworthy features of the PXI EMC filler panels include: - Enhanced shielding across the front of the chassis, especially when all installed panels comply with IEEE 1101.10 EMC panels. - Compliance with IEEE Specification 1101.10. - Reduced internal interference in the PXI chassis thanks to the EMC gasket, which can be installed in every slot. When it comes to installing the PXI EMC Filler Panels, it boils down to two major steps. First, remove the captive screw covers. Then, fasten the filler panels to the chassis using the captive mounting screws, ensuring the EMC gasket is positioned correctly on the right side. Moreover, the PXI Filler Panels come in several different versions to fit specific needs: the 778933-01 is suitable for 4- and 6-Slot Chassis, the 778679-01 includes 3 Double- and 3 Single-Slot Panels, while the 778646-01 is designed for a 17-slot coverage. Besides improving the safety of the device, these panels also enhance operator safety in training environments. Please ensure the chassis is turned off during the installation of these panels.
