The RJ50-Bendix Cable is a versatile sensor cable produced by National Instruments, often referred to as the RJ50 to Bendix Cable. This distinctive cable comes with varying lengths and connector configurations. The 3 ft. variant with 10-Pin, Male RJ50 to 6-Pin, Female PT06A-10-6S connections is represented by part number 783252-01. A different 3 ft. model, represented by Part Number 783264-01, features 10-Pin, Male RJ50 to 6-Pin, Female PT06A-10-14S connectors. Other sizes include two 15 ft. versions and two 25 ft. versions, each with differing connector setups. This cable plays a significant role in linking external sensors with systems for data control and acquisition. The RJ50-Bendix Cable supports TEDS wiring, making it a common feature in setups involving torque, strain or pressure transducers. Its 6-position connector is designed to be compatible with an extensive array of sensors. The cable is particularly beneficial in scenarios where the sensor's EEPROM or non-volatile storage is internal. This allows for the downloading of valuable data or measurements from the sensor's internal memory. National Instruments has announced the Mature Status for the RJ50-Bendix Cable, but it will continue to be available for purchase and eligible for repairs.
