Product Description
The Single-Slot, C-Size VXI Controller, known as the VXIpc-486 Model 200, is a high-performance VXIbus system equipped with an integrated 20 MHz Microprocessor. This potent system, originally developed by National Instruments, is based on the ISA technology. The VXIpc-486 Model 200 is tailored to be inserted into any compatible VXI mainframe, thus making it possible to build the smallest VXI system by scale. Thanks to its compact yet versatile design, this Embedded Computer can support various configurations, including an internal floppy disk drive, an internal hard disk drive, and I/O expansion kits. It takes only one VXIbus slot and is designed to operate as a system controller in its default factory settings. However, users have the flexibility to adjust the settings to meet their specific needs by altering the jumper settings. The VXIpc-486 Model 200 is fully compatible with Microsoft DOS/Windows and allows users to access all its internal hardware resources through a suitable driver. It is equipped with several front panel indicators, providing users with real-time information about the operational state or any existing issues. Furthermore, the Model 200 offers multiple front-panel connectors for added functionality. Among these are a keyboard connector, VGA connector, COM 1 and COM 2 connector, IEEE 488 connector, LPT connector, and a Trigger Input connector. The inclusion of a subminiature DHD22 VGA connector allows the system to connect with a standard monitor. National Instruments has announced the obsolescence of the VXIpc-486 Model 200. However, the product is still available for purchase and repair services.
