The PXIe-7981 features a fully customizable KU035 FPGA from Xilinx Kintex. It provides a mezzanine interface with access to 8 GTH transceivers for triggering and clocking, and includes an auxiliary connector for triggering and digital communication. Additionally, it offers various clocking inputs and control via an I2C bus and status handshaking signals to the FlexRIO FPGA.
