The National Instruments PCIe-GPIB+ (Part Numbers: 780936-01 and 780935-01) is a dual-function device, serving as an analyzer and an IEEE 488 controller. This unique GPIB Instrument Control Device is specifically built to be compatible with computers equipped with PCI Express slots, simplifying the process of integrating the instrument into a system via GPIB. With the NI PCIe-GPIB+, software and hardware issues related to GPIB can be easily diagnosed and resolved. This model can hit the highest IEEE 488.2 transfer rates. Data transfers are processed entirely by the inbuilt onboard DMA controller without any microprocessor involvement. It boasts impressive transfer rates of 8182 Kbytes/second in HS488 mode and up to 1577 Kbytes/s in 3-wire mode. The PCIe-GPIB+ can be effortlessly fitted into any available PCI Express slot in a computer. Its compatibility with HS488 makes it an efficient and cost-effective solution for both controller and analyzer functionality. The accompanying GPIB analyzer software program provides real-time updates on the status of the GPIB bus. This includes monitoring all 16 control and data lines of GPIB. The software also offers a broad selection of tools for interpreting GPIB data captured. A capture display window is also made available for real-time monitoring of all current capture activities. With its plug & play compatibility, the NI PCIe-GPIB+ allows for straightforward and jumperless configuration.
