Product Description
The Educational Lab Virtual Instrumentation Suite by National Instruments, also known as NI ELVIS, is an innovative tool designed for academic purposes. Its key part numbers include 778606-02, 778748-02, 777448-63, 778606-03, and 189323D-01. The main function of NI ELVIS is to serve as a versatile platform for data acquisition and control, facilitating experiments, data examination, and design testing in a digital ecosystem. The supplemental software of NI ELVIS offers a user-friendly interface for interacting with the hardware, along with data visualization and analysis capabilities. It is equipped with DC power supplies, offering varied voltages such as +15 V, -15 V, or +5 V. It integrates Digital I/O channels with an 8-bit resolution. The hardware components of the NI ELVIS suite are extensive and include function generators, arbitrary waveform generators, and oscilloscopes. The arbitrary waveform generator boasts 2 analog output channels, with the maximum frequency calculated based on the rate of analog output to the DAQ device. It also possesses a resolution that can be either 12 or 16 bits, depending on the DAQ device. The specifications of the oscilloscope are determined by the individual DAQ device used. The frequency generator, another integral component, has a range of 5 Hz to 250 kHz across five ranges. It incorporates an offset range of ±5 V and 10 V of AM / FM voltage. The versatility of the NI ELVIS education lab equipment, with its wide-ranging functions for data acquisition, signal generation, and control, make it a valuable asset for many technical purposes. It is available in various models, including a standalone workstation (part numbers 778606-02, 189323D-01) or a workstation designed specifically for academic use (part number 778606-03). Additionally, it's compatible with the PCI-6251 (bundle part number 778748-02) or the USB-6251 (bundle part number 777448-63), but these are available for academic use only.
